About Engineering Empowered

Hello! My name is Aryana. I'm a high school student with a passion for STEM who aspires to one day become an engineer! Being a girl in a very male-dominated space, I've observed firsthand the discrepancies between how men and women are treated, even if they have similar accomplishments and qualifications. 

 

Through participating in organizations like SWENext (Society of Next Women Engineers) and Girls Who Code, I've come to realize the value of sisterhood in navigating the ins and outs of engineering. This site was inspired by the mission of these organizations that seek to build community and a more inclusive environment for girls and women in STEM. Through this site, I hope to amplify voices that are not always heard and share the stories of countless women who deserve to be recognized for their talent.
